Description: About the role

Compello is growing strongly and is leading the way in the shift towards an AI-native future. We are now looking for a visionary and structured Service Owner for our development department.

This is a hybrid management position that combines personnel responsibility with the strategic and operational responsibility for one of our core services. One of your most important and exciting tasks will be to lead the department's transformation into an AI-native development unit, where AI tools and methodologies become a natural part of the entire software life cycle. You will lead a hybrid organization consisting of both a local team and external resources.

The role is threefold and gives you a unique opportunity to influence both people, product and process:

1. AI-Native Transformation Leader

• Strategic direction: Translate our "AI-native" vision into concrete, measurable actions in the development department.

• Process development: Identify and implement AI-driven improvements in the development processes to increase efficiency, quality and pace of innovation.

• Change management: Lead the team through the cultural and technical shift, it requires working AI-native, and encourage for experimentation and continuous learning.

2. Service Ownership & Delivery

You break down priorities, coordinate internal and external resources, and ensure stable and high-quality delivery.

Service quality, security and compliance: Ensure that non-functional requirements such as uptime, performance and recovery are met. You handle access, compliance with Visma policies and the Visma Cloud Delivery Model, and act as an escalation point for any critical incidents.

3. Leadership & Personnel Responsibility

• Hybrid management: Be a mentor and role model for both internal employees and outsourced partners, and build a common culture for knowledge sharing across locations.

• Competence and talent development: Identify competence needs, close gaps and facilitate professional growth, so that the team is equipped for future developer roles.

• Working environment: Create a positive, motivating and psychologically safe working environment with a high level of well-being.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a manager who thrives at the intersection between people, technology and business. You have a natural authority that inspires change, while at the same time you are structured enough to ensure stable operation and delivery. You are triggered by the idea of redefining how modern software is developed using AI, and you are highly adaptable in a rapidly changing landscape.

We believe you will succeed with us if you have:

• Higher education in IT/Computer Science, finance or equivalent (relevant experience can compensate for a lack of formal education).

• Good technological understanding and strong curiosity about AI: You do not need to be a hardcore developer yourself, but you must understand the basics of software development and the fundamental principles behind modern AI tools (such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, LLMer, etc.).

• Experience with project management, delivery responsibility (Service Ownership) or team management - preferably in hybrid environments with hired/outsourced resources.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in Norwegian and English, with the ability to speak equally well with developers as with the business side.
