Introduction
Do you not only want to test software, but actively determine how complex high-tech software is built and verified? As a Software Development Engineer in Test you work at the intersection of software development and quality engineering. You write production-quality code in C++ and/or Python and build scalable test automation for embedded systems in which hardware and software come together. This gives you a direct influence on the reliability, testability and quality of innovative technology.
Your responsibilities
You develop test infrastructure and automation as if it were production software and take ownership of technical quality and test architecture. -
Design, develop and maintain test frameworks and automation tooling in C++ and/or Python. -
Develop automated unit, integration and system tests and contribute to production code to improve testability. -
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and test infrastructure for fast and reliable feedback. -
Analyzing complex systems and failures and tracing problems back to the root cause in the code. -
Improving testability, observability and quality-by-design within development teams. -
Making technical choices around test architecture and tooling and continuously improving the automation strategy.
