As a Software Engineer III - Python Developer + LLM / Gen AI at JPMorgan Chase within Commercial & Investment Bank - Global Banking, you'll serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Job responsibilitiesExecutes software solutions which integrate Gen AI models with Enterprise workflows, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting. Demonstrates the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsBuilds data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sourcesCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that integrate seamlessly with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceStrong hands-on expertise with Python is a must-have, with experience in Python frameworks like Django, Flask or FastAPI. Software development experience and working experience with LLMs, Gen AI solution integration, RAG solutions. Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, including building data pipelines, testing, and operational stabilityExperience in AI agents frameworks, Langchain, and LangGraph. Experience working on document-based Gen AI use cases.Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and security. Experience working with CI/CD pipelinesDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within ML and Cloud technologies. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsHands-on experience in building Gen AI solutions for the enterpriseFamiliarity with Java, shell scripting is preferred.Experience building solutions using AWS/similar cloud technologiesCertifications in cloud technologies
