Description: Company description: This company operates in high-tech mechanical engineering and develops robotics and software solutions for building and construction applications. The organization focuses on sensor technology, 3. D-reconstruction and localization for use on construction sites.
Job content:
- As a Software Engineer Machine Vision you are responsible for designing and implementing machine vision algorithms that run in a production environment;

- You develop and optimize localization and mapping solutions such as (VI-)SLAM and sensor fusion for autonomous systems such as Software Engineer Machine Vision;

- You build in robust, production-ready code C++, Python or similar languages and integrate them with existing software stacks;

- You perform performance analyzes and root cause research and improve accuracy and reliability of sensors;

- You take full responsibility for projects from concept to production and work together with hardware and software teams;

- Approximately 60% development, 20% integration and testing and 20% field testing and support, with independent responsibility for your own projects within a team of 4 to 6 engineers;


Job requirements:
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mathematics or comparable education;

- At least 3 years of experience with machine vision or robotics-like applications and production environments;

- Demonstrable experience with sensors such as LiDAR, IMU and (depth) cameras and with calibration and sensor fusion;

- Experience with mapping, localization and state-estimation algorithms such as (VI-)SLAM, VIO, ICP or Kalman filters;

- Programming skills in C++, Python or Rust and experience with software engineering best practices such as git and unit testing;

- Knowledge of deep learning-based computer vision and object detection is an advantage;

- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, results-oriented attitude;
