Description: As a Software Engineer you develop and realize control solutions for machines and installations. You design functional and technical specifications, program PLC and SCADA software and carry out tests and commissioning. The role combines approximately 50% development, 30% implementation and 20% testing and support. You work independently and in project teams of 2 to 5 engineers and coordinate with other disciplines during integration and commissioning. The technical resources you use are IEC 61131-3 (Structured Text, Ladder), TwinCAT and TIA Portal, supplemented with C# and Python for tooling and scripting. The position requires practice-oriented implementation and commitment to location work in and around Best.
Job content
- Designing and drawing up functional and technical specifications for control systems and automation projects.
- Programming, configuring and testing PLC and SCADA software according to IEC 61131-3, Structured Text and Ladder.
- Carrying out integration tests and supporting commissioning and aftercare on location.
- Developing tooling and scripts. in C# and Python to support engineering and testing processes.

Job requirements
- Demonstrable experience with PLC programming according to IEC 61131-3, with Structured Text and/or Ladder.
- Experience with TwinCAT and/or TIA Portal for project development and commissioning.
- Familiarity with C# and Python for scripting, automation tools and test support.
- Ability to work independently in projects and taking responsibility for integration and testing.
