Ellumen, named a Top Workplace by the Washington Post, is a small business headquartered in Silver Spring, MD. We provide a broad spectrum of information technology and ancillary services to government and commercial customers primarily within the healthcare delivery domain. We seek a remote Software Engineer to join us in support of Defense Health Agency Operational Medicine Data Service Platform One program.
Responsibilities:
- Building applications in Python /Django
- Developing API endpoints using Django's API Framework
- Deploying and testing applications locally using Kubernetes
- Configuring and deploying Kubernetes resources through GitLab CI/CD
- Configuring and deploying Terraform resources into AWS through GitLab CI/CD
- Conducting Test-Driven Development
- Reading through dense system specifications files to understand project objectives
- Creating and managing AWS resources such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
- Extracting, mapping, transforming, and loading different formats of data into various data stores
- Analyze project requirements and conduct iterative planning and development (i.e. Agile, Scrum)
Qualifications:
- Strong object-oriented programming experience
- Strong Python programming experience
- Strong relational database experience
- Strong experience with iterative development through an Agile framework
- Proficient with API development and object-relational mapping
- Proficient with basic Linux commands
- Proficient with using and configuring CI/CD pipelines
- Experienced with AWS solutioning
- Experienced with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Terraform, Ansible
- Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Public Trust clearance
