At Fleury Michon, data is at the heart of many business issues. To strengthen our Data team within the IT department, we are looking for a Data Engineer/Reporting BI intern to contribute to the data value chain, from its structuring to its restitution.

The objective? Transform data into useful information accessible to company teams, thanks to reliable data models and Power BI reports adapted to business needs.

A concrete mission, straddling data engineering and Business Intelligence, with a real impact on the company's different departments!

🔎 Your mission

Supervised by an experienced tutor, you will be required to intervene across the entire data value chain.

Understand business needs

• Exchange with business teams (commerce, finance, production, digital, etc.) to understand their needs.

• Translate these needs into appropriate data models.

Structure and make data reliable

• Develop and optimize SQL queries on our Snowflake datalake: extraction, transformation and modeling.

• Participate in the reliability and automation of data flows: sourcing, controls quality…

• Document data processing and models.

Transform data into management tools

• Design Power BI reports and models, particularly with Power Query M and DAX.

• Contribute to the optimization and maintenance of reports and flows existing.

• Participate in improving Data and Power BI governance.

Support users

• Support teams in appropriating the reports created.

• Listen to their needs and contribute to developing the proposed solutions.

You will also be required to interact with people with varied profiles and understand their business challenges.

👤 The profile we are looking for

You are currently preparing a Bac+5 / Master 2, in computer science, data engineering or within a general engineering school with a Data / BI specialization.

We are ideally looking for a mixed profile development / BI, with good foundations in SQL and good knowledge of Power BI.

You have knowledge of:

• SQL – essential;

• data modeling, relational and/or dimensional;

• Power BI, Power Query M and DAX, or another BI tool (Tableau, Qlik…);

• data visualization.

Knowledge of Snowflake, Python and/or Git would be a plus, as would a first knowledge of the large-scale sector distribution.
