 Missiles & Aerostructures is a division of KONGSBERG. We develop, assemble, test and deliver missiles for vessels, coastal artillery, helicopters and fighter aircraft. We see a positive upswing which means several new exciting and challenging projects.

About the role:

In the Subsonic Missile Products business unit, our SIMulation ENvironment (SIMEN) team works with the development, further development, maintenance and productization of simulator products and systems for world-leading missiles. We develop development and training simulators for the Joint Strike Missile (JSM) and Naval Strike Missile (NSM), and the customers are both internal and external, and from home and abroad. Our simulators are used for analysis, development and training on our missile systems, and the development team works closely with several other professional environments, but especially the Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) environment. As the company grows, the workload also increases, and we see a need for dedicated task coordination and resource prioritization across the products we deliver. You will work at the intersection between simulator developers, line manager and product manager, where you will have to coordinate information and ensure that the right tasks are prioritized in the team. You should have system development experience and a technical background with higher education in physics / mathematics / software / cybernetics, as well as an interest in professional management. With the right attitude, you can achieve a lot, and personal suitability is therefore important. With us, you will have an exciting working day where you have to look up and gain an overview of our products and systems, while at the same time you get to know the team better in order to know who to go to for what. The ability to delve into details and work dedicatedly on tasks comes with experience, and with us you will be able to influence your own direction within the company.  

Our products and tasks are mainly within C++, but we also use Python, Matlab, Magic Draw and GitLab, among others. The team currently has 7 permanent members, but we are constantly growing and are looking for more developers. As Team Lead, you will contribute to recruitment and training activities, but are not directly responsible for planning this. You will become part of a group with a geek factor, a good mood and a good working environment. With us, everyone works physically in the office, which creates cohesion and a low threshold for sharing problems and sparring solutions.
