Our customer is an international technology company with its headquarters in Bergen, which develops advanced solutions at the intersection of machine learning, sensor technology, software and biology. In order to strengthen the production environment in the company, we are now looking for an operative and committed production manager who will have a central role in further growth and development.

The aim is to revolutionize sustainability and efficiency in the aquaculture industry.  By making fish farming cheaper and more viable than traditional livestock production, the company wants to help reduce one of the biggest causes of climate change and at the same time prepare our planet for the expected population growth.

• Plan and manage production in line with delivery and installation plans.
• Lead, motivate and develop the production team through clear goals, follow-up and employee development
• Ensure efficient operation and deal with bottlenecks, resource challenges and material shortages.
• Develop and maintain production documentation, work instructions and processes.
• Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Field Operations to ensure efficient production, high quality and good deliveries.
• Follow up production KPIs and continuous improvement work.
• Ensure that the ERP system (NetSuite) is updated and correctly.
• Have responsibility for the production budget related to staffing, consumables and cost control.
• Ensure that HSE, quality and safety requirements are complied with.
• Participate in the introduction of new products and the development of production processes.

• Higher education in production, technology, industry or equivalent. Long and relevant experience can compensate for a lack of formal competence.
• Minimum 5 years of experience from production or industrial operations.
• Good technical understanding and interest in continuous improvement.
• Management experience from production, workshop or similar environment.
• Experience with production planning, warehouse management and ERP systems.
• Experience with assembly processes and production equipment.
• Ability to make decisions and create results in a hectic everyday life.
• Speaks and writes fluent Norwegian and English.

Place of work is Bergen

Working hours are full-time/daytime, but there will be a need to communicate across time zones, so flexibility in relation to working hours is required.
