Description: We are seeking an experienced Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) professional to lead or provide technical support for the development and operation of meteorological modeling systems. The position combines scientific and technical expertise in atmospheric modeling, HPC computing and software development for meteorological applications. Main content of work: -Operation, configuration and supervision of numerical forecast models (atmospheric, marine, wave, chemical transport models) - Post-processing of numerical model outputs into usable meteorological products -Development and modification of model scripts and tools (Python, Bash, Fortran) - Integration and optimization of models in HPC and cloud environments -Setting parameterizations, data assimilation and tuning models -Support operational meteorological systems and users - Cooperation on the development of decision-making and briefing systems for aviation and other sectors
