Did you know that the world's main mining companies are working to control their operations autonomously and remotely? Did you know that Timining has been working for years to be the brain of these control centers?
At TIMining we seek to transform the mining operation with integrated software solutions. The Technical Project Manager (TPM) leads the end-to-end implementation of our platforms in mining clients from planning to production and adoption. Reports to the Head of Projects and coordinates multidisciplinary teams (Project Engineers, Geology, Data Engineers, IT and Mining Services). The TPM manages up to 6 simultaneous projects, ensuring delivery, quality and measurable value for the client, with a focus on adoption and ROI of the solution.
Training in Data Science Engineering, Civil Engineering or related careers in computing. A minimum of 2 years of experience in similar positions and verifiable experience in the implementation of ETL pipelines is required. Knowledge and advanced use of Python and SQL, practical experience in application deployment and container management, as well as experience in data orchestration with tools such as Apache Airflow or Prefect, are valued. Mastery of version control (Git) and collaborative work, queries to APIs and advanced databases. Knowledge of Google Suite and Office. Analytical skills, proactivity and ability to work autonomously and in a team. Languages: Native Spanish; English desirable (upper-intermediate).
Candidates are sought with experience in technological projects and knowledge of the open pit mining industry, as well as experience with Cloud architectures (AWS, Azure or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
At TIMining, we work to convert operational information from mining operations into actionable value through our control and monitoring platforms. This role is integrated into the data team, contributing to the design, development and operation of ETL pipelines that integrate diverse sources into TIMining databases and products. You will be part of a project aimed at operational continuity, algorithm calibration and automation of internal processes to optimize the client's and team's workflow.
Features
- Develop, maintain and document scripts in Python and SQL (connectors) for ETL towards the databases of TIMining products.
- Design, implement and maintain CI/CD flows so that changes in the pipelines reach production in a safe and automated way.
- Monitor the health and performance of data processes (logging and alerting), guaranteeing uptime and responses to operational incidents.
- Manage and orchestrate pipelines with planning tools (Airflow, Dagster) and containers (Docker).
- Validate pipeline results (qualitatively and quantitatively) comparing with operational reports of tasks.
- Identify, evaluate and mitigate risks in the development of pipelines, considering data quality and contingency plans.
- Develop internal projects to automate routine tasks and simplify the work of the team.
- Attend and present in technical meetings with clients to manage access to information sources and resolve queries.
- Analyze and document client information sources by system (FMS, MGS or others) and calibrate algorithms of the company's software.
- Execute 24/7 shifts to ensure operational continuity.
Benefits
We offer an environment focused on innovation in the mining industry, with opportunities for professional development and multidisciplinary teamwork. If you meet the profile, we invite you to be part of TIMining and contribute to the digital transformation of mining operations.
Desirable requirements
Experience in:
- Implementation of technological projects.
- Knowledge of the mining industry and its operation.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, and experience with Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Knowledge of monitoring solutions and large-scale data production environments is desirable.
