Description: We are looking for an experienced and structured development engineer for the engine process and systems department. The department is responsible for the development and optimization of engine properties related to performance and emissions. This involves process responsibility for systems within air, exhaust, fuel, combustion, cooling and lubrication for both gas and diesel engines. In addition, the department has component responsibility for central parts such as turbochargers, fuel injection systems and exhaust aftertreatment equipment. The department's work includes thermodynamic analyzes and flow calculations using simulation and modeling tools, as well as the specification, implementation and evaluation of test programs. The department also works closely with sales support and the project organisation. The test laboratory is also part of our department. Here, tests are carried out on development engines to simulate various operating conditions, as well as the development and verification of new engine variants. At Bergen Engines, we have the entire value chain in one place, with development, machining, assembly, test runs and service gathered at Hordvikneset. The engineers have a close relationship with the product and can closely follow the process from the concept stage to the finished solution for the customer. Bergen Engines is part of Norway's most important industries for the future with a key role in the transition to carbon-neutral energy production. These are exciting times and Bergen Engines will continue to be part of the development and therefore needs more skilled engineers to join us on the team. You will have a central role in emission certification of our marine diesel and gas engines according to international regulations such as US EPA and IMO NOx. The position also involves development, testing and analysis of the engines' emission characteristics.
